Improving Game Speed

| There are several ways by which you can speed up the overall FIFA 09 experience: a.) Lower the resolution in Game Settings in My FIFA 09. b.) Lower the level of detail in Game Settings in My FIFA 09. c.) Lower the shader quality in Game Settings in My FIFA 09. d.) Turn off (in Game Settings in My FIFA 09): 3D Grass Postprocessing Quality Depth of field Referee Linesman e.) Disable the radar in Game Settings. f.) Turn the Commentary Volume all the way down in Game Settings. |

| The blackscreen is a resolution problem, most likely because your monitor doesnt support the game default resolution. To force the game to start on a lower resolution do the following: Open notepad, write "RESOLUTION = 1024x768x32"(without the quotes), save the file on fifa09 instalation folder as locale.ini(when saving the file change the "save as type" to "all files"). I used the 1024x768 resolution but you can change it to whatever you want |
